Lessons are available Monday to Friday from 3.30pm to 7pm during term time, on every kind of instrument from piano to guitar, strings, brass, woodwind and percussion.

Bristol Plays Music’s flagship Choral Centre takes place at Cotham School on Friday evenings and is the home to the Bristol Youth Choir, Colston Hall’s Young Companies in Residence. Led by two exceptional choral leaders – David Ogden and Martin Le Poidevin – the choir develops singers from the age of 7. The Junior Choir covers a mixed repertoire and aims to nurture a love of singing through games as well as teach essential skills like reading music. The Senior Boys’ Ensemble explores close harmony, barbershop and other male musical styles. The Senior Girls’ Choir explores repertoire ranging from classical works to popular songs. Members regularly perform at events across the city.

Colston Hall, run by Bristol Music Trust, is the South West’s largest concert hall and is at the heart of cultural life in the city.
